Madiba Heights is a project that encompasses the dreams of the people of Tshwane, government and businesses. This integrated housing project includes rental and sectional title residential units. The residential element of the project is strongly supported by appropriate retail and entertainment facilities to facilitate the community to “Live, Work and Play” in one place, their immediate home environment.
Madiba Heights is situated close to the busy city center and transport facilities that allow for its residents to access employment outside of the city center, including Johannesburg and the airport (via the Gautrain). The target group are low to middle income earners and one, two and three bedroom units will be allocated to the respective beneficiaries.
The development was originally planned for 748 units. This figure was amended in October 2013 to a maximum of 604 residential units and +-1500sqm of retail to be developed after analysis of the Socio-Economic Study and Retail Study which were completed in October 2013. This project supports the City of Tshwane in meeting their housing demand whilst improving the district in which the project will be located.
